Advanced Yoga Anatomy for Teachers with Applications to Osteoporosis and Arthritis

(This course is open to students who are taking or who have completed a YTT 200 hour program)
Mike is able to bring the knowledge and understanding of yoga and anatomy down to earth for you; thereby taking things into understandable ideas and concepts. He is able to apply this information directly to the practice of yoga.
This course will cover basic anatomy of bones and joints with key muscles relevant to yoga practice.
Areas covered:
Bones of the feet, legs, pelvis, spine shoulders, head and neck will be covered as well as key muscles of leg: hamstrings, quadriceps, psoas, and rotator cuff.
Mechanical issues of the ankle, knee, sacroiliac joints, spine, temporo-mandibular joint (and more) will be covered in detailed and applied to asana practice.
Saturday will have a session on yoga and osteoporosis for applied anatomy and Sunday there will be a session on arthritis.
Manual/workbook included. Be ready to practice yoga throughout the day to apply principles covered !
